Chinese Bilingual Programme

Since 2022, Shekou International School (SIS) has provided a Chinese Bilingual Programme for grades 1 to 5 where our students have developed their academic literacy, critical thinking, creativity, and social skills. The Chinese Bilingual Programme is for families looking for a balanced Mandarin/English bilingual learning environment. Students in this programme enjoy the unique community environment by learning and interacting with others from more than 40 different countries.

• CBP students engage in the curriculum through balanced instruction in English and Chinese, which promotes academic bilingualism.

• The Chinese Bilingual Programme is enriched by the IB Primary Years Program and based on the inquiry-based learning and teaching approach.
